Abstract
Purpose. Meeting the challenge of satellite telecommunications as the basis of forming a single information space.
Subject. Comparison of promising technological opportunities fixed network systems (relay, fiber optic, cell and telecommunications satellite systems).
Problem. Information inequality between large metropolitan areas and remote regions of the country.
The Сultural Significance and Social Mission. The information space is an important social indicator of the standard of living of the population of regions. «Gazprom Space Systems» PLC is formulating the development of satellite telecommunications as their social mission and cultural problem that is, on the agenda of the state.
