Abstract

The article expose the importance of poetry in the cultural dominant in management of socioeconomic development of society. Milestones of the thorny path of the People’s Poet of Dagestan and Russia Rasul Gamzatov to winning the recognition of the whole world are pointed out. Main lines of Rasul Gamzatov’s poetry (high humanism and wisdom, patriotism, and sacred admiration of Mother, true friendship and love) have been exposed. It is stressed that unveiling of the memorial to Rasul Gamzatov in Moskva marks a high appreciation assessed to his talent, paying tribute of infinite respect to him as a person of broad heart and soul, a great citizen and patriot. The fact of creating brilliant songs on the basis of Rasul Gamzatov’s lyrics, the legendary “Cranes” in particular is emphasized
